This training was facilitated to the same group of leaders as the Emotionally Intelligent Leadership training also shown in my portfolio. These two trainings were part of a leadership development track for newly onboarded leaders. Although developed with leaders in mind, this training can easily be adapted for all levels of employees.
The idea is to think deeply about not only what types of conflict exist in workplaces, but the intrapersonal and interpersonal reasons behind it. I take learners through self-reflection activities and group conversation that help them become self-aware. There is also a strategy for identifying conflict, as well as action steps to help learners know how to use the information, they've learned in the training.
I have facilitated this training with groups of leaders who often have "a-ha" moments, or comment that they never thought about how connected their beliefs are with their day-to-day behaviors. A really eye-opening experience!
Tools Used: Canva, PowerPoint
Role: Learning & Development Consultant & Instructional Designer
Having a combination of self-reflective and group activities helps learners to apply their self-discoveries to real-life group situations.
For this training, I used color as way to emphasize important points, or points learners should take away from each slide to focus attention and guide discussions.
